Erin McLean Mason, 45, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2016, in Moraga, California. She was born on February 19, 1971, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Michael McLean and the late Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she met David, her husband of 22 years. During their marriage, they experienced the joy of raising their beloved children, Tate, 17, and Betsy, 15.

Erin McLean Mason, 45, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2016, in Moraga, California. She was born on February 19, 1971, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Michael McLean and the late Elizabeth "Betsy" Wilson. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she met David, her husband of 22 years. During their marriage, they experienced the joy of raising their beloved children, Tate, 17, and Betsy, 15.

Erin's humor, creativity, and unending devotion to her family and friends will always be remembered. She saw the beauty and potential in all people and things. She had a passion for art and style, which extended to home decorating. Her work as a real estate stager earned many accolades, with her homes appearing in various websites and publications. She possessed an uncanny ability to spot the unique and share its wonderfulness with others. Erin held an unwavering determination to put her family first, especially in the care and support of her children.

Erin is survived by her husband David T. Mason, Jr., her children David "Tate" Mason, III and Elizabeth "Betsy" Mason, her father Michael, her stepfather Thomas Wilson, her stepsisters Lita Russell and Lora Neel, and her parents-in-law David and Annette Mason.

A memorial service to celebrate Erin's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, in the Harry & Bryant, "Chapel in the Oaks", 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made in Erin's name to the Salem Academy or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
