Charlotte - On March 23, 2015, Peggie passed gently from this life to the next, surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1919 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to John Henry and Margaret Stokes Harrison.

Peggie moved to Charlotte in 1929, and graduated from Central High School in 1937. She attended Converse College, and graduated from Queens College in 1941. She was a founding member of the Wise and Otherwise Book Club while in high school. Peggie was a passionate bridge player, playing until the last month...

Charlotte - On March 23, 2015, Peggie passed gently from this life to the next, surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1919 in Roanoke Rapids, NC to John Henry and Margaret Stokes Harrison.

Peggie moved to Charlotte in 1929, and graduated from Central High School in 1937. She attended Converse College, and graduated from Queens College in 1941. She was a founding member of the Wise and Otherwise Book Club while in high school. Peggie was a passionate bridge player, playing until the last month of her life. An active resident of Sharon Towers since 1995, she enjoyed line dancing, and served on the Residents Board.

Peggie is predeceased by her husbands, John O. Lafferty, MD, married in 1944; Kenneth Austin, married in 1975; and PC Hull, Jr. DDS, married in 2010, at age 90. She is survived by three children, John O. Lafferty, Jr., (Peggy) of Lincolnton, NC, Henry H. Lafferty (Debbie) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ann Lafferty Rathbun (Don) of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Meghan Lafferty, Catherine Lafferty, Sarah Lafferty, Ellen Lafferty, and Lauren Rathbun; and her sister, Jeanne Harrison MacDonald (Charles) of Charlotte, NC.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 30th, at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be private.
